Axenic On The Road: From Tenerife to Durham 

The team at Axenic have been out on the road attending two incredibly insightful space industry conferences, connecting with partners, and exploring the future of the sector.

First up, we headed to the Canary Islands for ESA’s ScyLight Conference to dive deep into the latest breakthroughs in optical and quantum communications. It was a phenomenal week of high-level tech insights and global networking (even if the backdrop did look suspiciously like a postcard).

From the Canary Islands straight back to some brilliant local innovation. We joined our fantastic friends and partners at Space North East England for an exceptional one-day event at the Radisson Blu in Durham.

This sold-out conference brought together the very best of the North East’s space industry alongside major national and international partners. From pivoting adjacent capabilities into the space market to securing new investments for the region, the energy in the room was unmatched. It’s incredibly exciting to see the North East positioning itself as a major powerhouse in the UK’s space economy.

A huge thank you to the organizers of both events. We’re returning to the office with fresh ideas, strengthened partnerships, and a lot of momentum for what’s ahead!
